Vetran Human rights crusader Dr.Binayak Sen aappeals to Maoists for uncondtinial realease of abducted sukma chhatisgarh collector A.P.Menon"unconditionally and as soon as possible"
Expressing his grief at the killing of two security guards during the abdution Mr.Sen in a written statment issued at Kolkata said Mr.Menon should 'remain unharmed until his realease and all medical facilities extended to ehim". I reequest to realease of Collector to the Maoists.

CJI's remark to adversly affect RTI drive:C.I.C.

Days after Chief Justice Of India S.H.Kapadia said that irrelevant RTI queries were impeding the working of Judges in courts ,Central Information Comission said the the remarks would have a significant negative impact on RTI. Information Comissioner Shailesh Gandhi ,in a letter to the CJI said that his coments could "dampen the RTI journey of India"

Gandhi admitted that RTI was being used in a trivial manner in a certain cases but he argued but it was also possible to show that progressive laws like dowrys act and atrocitys act were being used in in a "trivial manner or to harrass innocent people"

He added "it is also true that most public authoritys including information comissions and courts have not fulffiled the promise oh section 4 of the RTI actconsequent to which they are then complaining about increasing RTI requests" Courtsy TOI New Delhi 19.04.12

Labor Court Judge Atik Mohhamad Khan,52 was booked for alleged rape and atrocity in yawatmal on wednesday.Khan was booked when a women from pune lodged a complaint that he had raped her after promissing to marry her,the women a widow with two children-her husband died two yeard ago-alleged they were having an affair for the last ten years and were living together since Khan was transfferd to Gondiafive years ago.Khan is from Pune and has a family theare,S.P.RanjanKumar Sharma said- Courtsy,Indian Express New Delhi-19.01.12
