The Govt of India, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas has
been pleased to direct all the oil companies under him to give some guidelines
regarding the sale of raw petroleum coke from their oil refineries on
07.05.2012. The Ministry directed them to auction RPC with certain conditions
on 07.05.2012 and expects the auction process shall be initiated within 60
days, that is on 07.07.2012. This Columnist has sent one RTI application to the
Public Information Officer, IOC, Marketing division, Mumbai with a request to
know they mode of auction and other allied information but unfortunately
no information has been furnished by this Maharatan Public Sector undertaking
nor the RTI application has been acknowledged. On one side, everybody is
advocating RTI and on the other side, this is the fate of RTI application in
PSUs.
